How to Build an OPTC Team

A practical workflow for One Piece Treasure Cruise players who need to turn enemy mechanics and available units into a working crew.

Start with the captain

Pick a captain that covers the key characters you want to use, then verify type, class, cost, universal, and self-scope coverage.

Map the mechanics

List the enemy mechanics that must be handled, including bind, despair, paralysis, barriers, damage reduction, orb problems, and interrupts.

Lock and search

Place known units in manual slots, then use ability filters and generated candidates to fill missing utility and damage roles.

When your team keeps losing

Check four things before rebuilding from scratch. Does your Captain boost the characters you brought? Captain Coverage shows it for your own box. Can your box field the content at all? What this box can field, on Character Boxes, answers that for well-known content. Does the team answer what the stage does, such as Delay or Bind? Add them as ability requirements in Auto Team Builder. And where do you farm the character you are missing? Each character page lists where it drops.
